SQLComplete is a timesaver!

Yorumlar: Very rarely is there a tool you can't live without, but SQLComplete comes very close. A real time saver when you want to get going fast.

Artılar:

The auto join prompting based on foreign keys is a nice time and typing saver. The query history is also very useful and is very quick now in the last few releases.

Eksileri:

Hard to genuinely fault with so many nice features. Previously I would have said the speed of the query history search but that has been addressed now and is super fast.

Don't pay for this technology stuck in the past.

Yorumlar: I do not know what should i do without SQL Complete! really amazing and handy tools for daily work with MSSQL databases! i like it very much and can recommend to anyone who using SSMS on daily basis.

For those who frequently write SQL, it will undoubtedly boost productivity.

Yorumlar: The overall experience is excellent—except for the lack of AI integration. Another minor issue is that the menus and options can be a bit too complex. (Though having too few options would also be problematic...)

SQL Complete makes writing SQL extremely efficient. I primarily use it with SQL Server Management Studio. The SQL statement suggestions are excellent and greatly enhance efficiency. Additionally, SQL formatting, though subtle, plays an important role. I also appreciate that SSMS allows for calculating query results directly.

Eksileri:

One drawback is that it has not yet reached the level of predictive capabilities seen in Copilot and other AI tools. Since the database schema is relatively limited in scope, if it could learn from previously written SQL, stored procedures, and ideally, the relationships and roles of each table, AI-powered predictive input could improve dramatically.

Excellent feature set. SQL formatter, good autocomplete, go-to-definition, auto-aliasing, etc.

Recent versions seem a lot clunkier and prone to bugs and crashes than versions I used from years past. More attention on the fundamentals of making the software fast and stable would be appreciated, rather than new features.

Brings real "IntelliSense" to SSMS

Yorumlar: In my eyes, it's a great tool when working with SQL code and brings features to SSMS that Microsoft should always have had.
Having it *not* installed in SSMS is like working with an arm tied to your back - but unfortunately most SSMS users don't even know it existed and are used to work with the crappy built-in feature set.

When editing SQL code withing SSMS, this is how Microsoft's IntelliSense should really be - giving you the right suggestions, doing the code completion/correction you really want. Just great! Also crucial when working with a large SQL code base: Easily jump to the definition of e.g. a view or a stored proc from just within the code where it is used.

- Frequency and UI integration of update reminders. Would be better to have some feature like MS introduced within Visual Studio where you get notifications in background. - Overall update installation process. This just stops you from working for quite a long time. Would be nice to have that done in background (as far as possible) and then just getting an info message to e.g. restart SSMS...

Yorumlar: Overall I would recommend to anyone that is a data engineer or is constantly coding in a database editor like SSMS.

The ease to create custom snippets. I also love that you can customize the formatting. It really helps with keeping everything consistent and easy to read. I find that it takes me have the time to open existing procedures, creating new ones. Hovering over a table name and getting its fields is really useful. So is getting the description of functions and what parameters are needed. It really saves time when developing.

Eksileri:

Little things like when you update the product if you editted an existing snippet you have to go back and re edit it. And it can be pricey if you don't use SSMS all the time.

SQL Complete - Intellisense PLUS!

Yorumlar: I have been a SQL Complete user since 2012 and I have had very, very few issues with the application. It has always been part of my daily tool-kit when writing SQL. The application is constantly being improved, fixes and updates are delivered in a timely fashion and the company stands behind its product. I hope to keep using it until I retire !

The main reason I use SQL Complete is the smart auto-complete and intellisense that is the foundation of the product. I also use the SQL Formatter quite often and the Execution History function has saved me many times, countless hours of work when I needed to recall a query that I did not save.

I can honestly say that there is nothing I dislike about SQL Complete, for the reasons I use it for. It works perfectly for my work.

It makes your life easier. Code Completion is very useful and more powerful than the SSMS native intellisense. It helps to see the table definition by hovering over the mouse over the object.

Sometimes I use system databases like tempdb and #temptables and the code completion does not work even if I go to refresh suggestions.
