A great MDM - Worth the move from our MS product

The settings and abilities are, so far, lightyears beyond what Intune was able to do, in terms of locking down devices and making them both more manageable and more secure.

Importing devices from one MDM to this new platform is a bit clunky and not necessarily intuitive, however their Support team, who was available by chat right on the same screen, was a huge boon and was ready with screenshots and clear directions.

An MDM that is hard to beat

Yorumlar: My experience has been good. The cost of the program is just right and you get many features and functions that simply work. I do not think I have had a single outage with this service and so managing devices has been simple

The easy setup for both apple and android. They have easy to read documentation and if you get stuck, the folks on chat are very helpful. You don't feel like you have to do it alone.

We struggled with some advanced stuff when it came to setting up approved webpages from our on premise servers. They were a bit tricky but once we got it going, it has not been a problem. This I believe was more of us not understanding vs the software.

Policies Easy to create, App Management is ok, Deprovisions easy to do, option to remove pins and reset codes, reporting was good

cant do updates to test groups, updates were pushed to all phones, looping Auto deployment had issues with users, had to manually do every phone, Support really unhelpful always going in circles and constantly getting fed up

Management through profiles allows enormous configuration flexibility. The fact that up to 25 devices are free allows micro companies to take advantage of the potential of equipment management.

There is no filtering of web content using expressions or keywords. No support for non-paid customers, which can make configuration difficult in case of doubt or lack of knowledge.

Great tool for managing iOS devices and app deployment. Integrates well with Apple Business Manager. The ability to customize groups, users, and enrollments provides the flexibility needed to manage multiple devices, users, and departments. The security protocols were easy to configure and provided the level of security required for our organization.

I feel the deployment process is cumbersome when working with ABM to sync devices. It would be nice to distribute a one-size-fits-all template to a device.

Managing and controlling company-owned mobile devices through an MDM product is much easier. MDM has been very useful in office environments with high employee turnover. I always prefer technical controls over administrative controls, which is why I highly recommend the ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager product

Why I Use ManageEngine MDM

Yorumlar: Since the product was new to me. It did take me a little while to understand how it works. The product has been rock solid. The support that you have with a person through KB articles is phenomenal. You're always a phone call away when you need support.

This MDM solution provides all the bells and whistles that I need. It is also very easy to use for administration. The integration with ABM makes things so easy. Since we're an Apple shop ABM integration is a must!

The only con that I can think of is making sure your certificates are up to date. This is a security procedure that is extremely necessary. However, if you don't use the software often like daily or weekly. You need to make sure that your certificates for ABM don't expire on you.

Effective but setup is complex

Yorumlar: Overall it's been a decent experience. I'm a one person IT department for a relatively large organization with a LOT of shared devices, so having a management system is helpful, but I just haven't had enough time to sit down and really figure out how to get the most out of it. It's pretty user friendly, but not necessarily super time effective.

ManageEngine customer service is amazing, they're very polite, helpful and responsive. The system itself works well, it has a lot of features and is relatively easy to navigate.

The process of getting set up is somewhat complex, but I think that's true of most similar systems. I would like more base configurations, but they're not too hard to create once you've got the hang of it. There aren't a ton of options for managing Apple devices, but that's more of an Apple problem than anything else.

My First MDM
