It's Open Source and free to use. > > **Eksileri**: Nothing I can think of. Their documentation was sound enough I could follow along to set it up myself. Just don't expect expert support on free solutions, that's the trade off for getting things free. > > I created this as a Virtual Machine at my Organization and used it for years to be able to remote in from my computer and phone. As an IT Administrator this was super useful so I could monitor on-site equipment, run commands, etc. I've only stopped using it because my new Router has a built-in VPN connection App so I no longer needed OpenVPN, but I'd suggest it to anyone wanting one. ----- ### "Great option for having your own VPN" — 4.0/5 > **Manuel** | *31 Aralık 2021* | Emlak | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10 > > **Artılar**: It is very reliable and fast to connect, easy to manage users and the stability is 10/10 > > **Eksileri**: Since it requires your own server to deploy it mat be more expensive depending on the numbers of users ----- ### "Connects in a click and stays up, which is all need in a VPN" — 5.0/5 > **Doğrulanmış Yorumcu** | *17 Ağustos 2026* | Mali Hizmetler | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Artılar**: I use the client side only. I imported the profile once, and after that connecting takes one click. The connection holds through a full workday, and I have not had to restart the app in the middle of a call. The speed drop is small enough that video calls and large downloads go through the tunnel without me noticing it is there. The same profile works on my laptop and my phone, so I am not maintaining two setups. > > **Eksileri**: First-time setup is on you to work out. The client wants a profile file and a couple of system permissions, and without instructions from whoever runs the server you will be guessing. On the phone I open the app to switch profiles instead of doing it from system settings. Neither of those cost me more than a few minutes, and nothing about the connection itself has bothered me. > > I connect through OpenVPN Access Server on a laptop and a phone, and it does the one job I need: I click connect and stop thinking about it. Over months of daily use I do not remember a dropped session I could blame on the client. I have not administered the server, so I cannot speak to installation, licensing, or how it holds up under load. ----- ### "Decent solution for SMB but not a ZTNA replacement" — 3.0/5 > **Andrew** | *19 Eylül 2026* | Bilgi Teknolojileri ve Hizmetleri | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10 > > **Artılar**: This is an easy to deploy solution for cloud environments using the AMI or other images. Also enough documentation is available online > > **Eksileri**: Does not integrate well with existing company accounts and user management was quite manual. Also given the password based access, if a password is compromised, anyone can connect from an unmanaged device > > Overall, I think it is a good SMB solution but as your need grows one should look for a better ZTNA solution instead of base VPN ----- Page: 1 / 9\ İleri: [Next page](https://www.capterra.web.tr/software/159435/access-server?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.web.tr/software/159435/access-server) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | es | | | es-AR | | | es-CL | | | es-CO | | | es-CR | | | es-DO | | | es-EC | | | es-MX | | | es-PA | | | es-PE | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | it | | | ja | | | nb | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | | pl | | | pt | | | pt-PT | | | tr | | ----- ## Structured Data
