Yorumlar: I really like using Gitlab CI. We are building and deploying our applications using Gitlab CI mostly every day. It's very stable and fast. So that m overall experience is very good with Gitlab CI.

The working style of most of the CI/CD tools are similar in the background. The ones that has better UI and fast responses are making a difference in the market. Gitlab CI, by far has the best UI. The button clicks, flows and placement of the features are very well-designed.

I cannot say least but I would be happier if Gitlab adds more UI features in CI/CD level.

Same that other brands but cheaper

Yorumlar: Really good, we use for a ton of projects in the company and it has plenty of customizations and features, and is cheaper than other for almost the same

Best of the Version Tool

Yorumlar: Overall Experience has been amazing since, my team does not want to have a dedicated devops. Hence, with Gitlab its all in 1 devops with less learnign curve making it very suitable for the job.

Integration of Code repository with pipelines which run on the fly in its own container with minimum effort to deploy.

Honest Gitlab review

Yorumlar: I have been using Gitlab in the current company, and I cant say I like it, neither I can say I dislike it, it serves the purpose of version control of git, but it misses the charm and add-ons Github offers, but if you want on-premise solution, thats the price you gotta pay.

Artılar:

Strong security tools, on-premise sollution, nice CI/CD features. Good for bigger teams.

Eksileri:

UI and UX are not really nice, pretty expensive to run on-premise solution, less integrations than Github. Not that good for smaller teams.

Managing CI/CD

Yorumlar: Getting help in devops feature like CI pipeline is a good part. Efficient code reviews and solving problems are easy.

1. This product is absolutely helpful to handle code-related issues, and errors and being a part of discussions to work on matters easily. 2. Running and managing CI/CD is super easy. 3. A very user-friendly environment and easy customization options are available.

1. Little bit complex to start without any prior experience. 2. UI is complex and can be improved.

GitLab is Worth It

Yorumlar: I used this as team lead, and enjoyed how quickly I could get up and running.

Artılar:

I love how simple it is to share and collaborate projects.

There is a relatively steep learning curve. Despite given instructions, outside resources are required to fully utilize GitLab.

A good product if you stay within its limits

Yorumlar: I would not choose Gitlab over Github if I have a choice because the CI system on Github is better and so many people know how to use Github that it's just a better place for open source software I believe. If I am working on closed-source software and Gitlab has already been selected then I wouldn't object, it'll get the job done well.

I like Gitlab in most ways. It has great task management that integrates well with code changes. As a Git server, it does everything you need. It's relatively easy to administrate. If you stick with the well-supported features then Gitlab will serve you well.

Eksileri:

The technology is showing its age and can be frustrating to use. Integrating custom runners can be shockingly painful. I have run into UI bugs that allow tasks to be run before their dependencies are met which has caused serious release problems. Designing pipelines without a system like Github actions is incredibly fiddly and error prone.

Gitlab: Your source code manager

Yorumlar: It promotes my productivity while coding, by helping in debugging the code with many excellent features and functions

I like the level of flexibility it provides and number of features to control my source code is really good

Some features of the privious version are missing and it's set up is really complex for new people

Yorumlar: My experience is very productive and ppositive with gitlab. It has so much features available easily in one platform to access. It has enhanced my productivity and code. Just loved the product.

Its comprehensive and integrated DevOps toolchain, which helps to streamline the entire software lifecycle. Makes it so much easier for version controlling to CI/CD and project management. It has a robust access controls and also it s having detailed permission settings makes the security and collaboration very good. Also its GUI and big API support makes the automation very easy. This all-in-one GitLab simplifies the workflows and reduces need for switching to multiple tools and helping us to increase productivity.

It's quite hard to find a con in this. Only thing I felt is the its GUI has a lot of features makes a new user's work challenging.

CI is outstanding in Gitlab

It gives open source good version control interface, Has continuous deployment and its user friendly. It is easy to implement and integrate with any software. It also gives best updates at every points.

Can give its futures to android and ios for analysis.

Highly flexible and powerful but with a slightly sluggish UI

I like the philosophy of the team that built GitLab and it reflects in the product. It is open, flexible, and powerful. The CI templates make it easy to setup continuous integration on new projects and that is a huge productivity boost.

The UI feels sluggish sometimes. It just feels that everything takes a fraction of second longer and it adds up overall.

Gitlab is one of the most important components of our SDLC

Yorumlar: It's easy to use for developers and administrators and the service Gitlab provides is excellent.

We switched from On Premise Gitlab and using the SaaS based Gitlab is great for easy source control and over the past 3/4 years, it's become even more important part of our Software Development Lifecycle now that we are using the automated pipelines more and more.

Occasionally some of the GUI features can fail, such as auto merging, but refreshing the page and trying again it then works.

Gitlab - Honest Review

Yorumlar: Obviously it eases the problem of version control and on top of that it has so many features that we do not have to go for other platforms still some 3rd party integration are no that much supported and because of these and there are some easy to use and easy implement options developers go for other options for full CI/CD options.

In software development lifecycle gitlab has very integrated approach and it has built in CI/CD pipelines.And It is very user friendly even though it is for developers.

It's documentation is not that much easy to understand and even though it has so many features, new user might find himself/herself lost in getting to be aware.

My favourite source control management tool

I came to GitLab years ago from Subversion. The adoption was instant and I never looked back. I had to use other technology for different projects, such as Azure, which still packs a punch but cannot be compared to Gitlab in terms of simplicity, clarity and ease of use. Gitlab i still my go-to source control management tool.

Very little, everything was making sense to me and was easy to find.

Great managing coding version. Powerfull code review. Struggle with large project.

Its relatively steep learning curve. May require significant hardware and bandwidth resources to run properly.

Nice software still need to become more mature as flow

Yorumlar: A common software, it is doing its role well with some lack in the interface.

Artılar:

Task management is quite nice. Allocation of incidents is working well.

Quite lazy responses from the system and a lot of mess in the interface organization. Low reporting system.

GitLab review

Artılar:

It is a great tool for collaboration between development team members. It has lots of nice useful features.

Eksileri:

I did not encounter any issues with GitLab.
